Great Content – The Secret Of High AdSense Revenues

There are two ways to think about AdSense: you can think of it as a way to use your website to make money; and you can think of it as a way to make money with a website.

What’s the difference?

The difference is in the content. In the first case, you already have a website and you simply put AdSense on the page to turn it into cash. You might change the content a little to influence the ads and you could make sure that you include the best keywords to bring you the highest revenues. You should certainly play with the way the ads look on the page to make them attractive and unobtrusive – and there’s a huge range of different strategies you can use to do that.

Ultimately though, the content is there already. You’re just using AdSense to turn the content you’re going to create anyway into money – and you’re going to use AdSense secrets to make those revenues as high as possible.

But lots of people also want to build a website from scratch for the sole purpose of cashing in on all the money available through AdSense. There’s nothing wrong with that – provided the content is high quality.

AdSense is an ad serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-ads-displayed basis. Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user’s geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google’s targeted ad system may sign up through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the ads are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the ads is often relevant to the website.

It currently uses JavaScript code to incorporate the advertisements into a participating site. If it is included on a site which has not yet been crawled by the Mediabot, it will temporarily display advertisements for charitable causes known as public service announcements (PSAs). (Note that the Mediabot is a separate crawler from the Googlebot that maintains Google’s search index.)

Many sites use AdSense to monetize their content and some webmasters work hard to maximize their own AdSense income. They do this in three ways:

1. They use a wide range of traffic generating techniques including but not limited to online advertising.
2. They build valuable content on their sites; content which attracts AdSense ads and which pay out the most when they get clicked.
3. They use copy on their websites that encourage clicks on Ads. Note that Google prohibits people from using phrases like “Click on my AdSense ads” to increase click rates. Phrases accepted are “Sponsored Links” and “Advertisements”.

The source of all AdSense income is the AdWords program which in turn has a complex pricing model based on a Vickrey second price auction, in that it commands an advertiser to submit a sealed bid (not observable by competitors). Additionally, for any given click received, advertisers only pay one bid increment above the second-highest bid.

Setiap saya ke gramedia atau ke tempat toko buku yang terdapat komik manga, saya sering melihat ada banyak anak-anak kecil maupun remaja sedang duduk sambil baca komik yang berasal dari jepang itu. Manga ( 漫画 ) yang dalam bahasa jepang arti nya komik itu memang banyak digemari oleh anak-anak maupun remaja khususnya mereka yang suka dengan “jepang”. Terkadang ada juga yang sampai mengkoleksi manga. Lalu ketika pagi atau sore atau dihari-hari libur saya juga sering melihat dihampir setiap statiun TV di Indonesia ini menayangkan Anime. Anime (アニメ) atau film kartun yang berasal dari jepang ini biasanya dipengaruhi gaya gambar dari Manga. Kata anime tampil dalam bentuk tulisan dalam tiga karakter katakana a, ni, me (アニメ) yang merupakan bahasa serapan dari bahasa Inggris “Animation” dan diucapkan sebagai “Anime-shon”. Anime juga banyak digemari oleh berbagai kalangan dari mulai anak kecil hingga orang tua, dan banyak juga kolektor yang mengkoleksi Anime.

RSS adalah sebuah file berformat XML untuk sindikasi yang telah digunakan (diantaranya dan kebanyakan) situs web berita dan weblog. Singkatan ini biasanya mengarah ke beberapa protokol:

• Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
• RDF Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0)
• Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)

Teknologi yang dibangun dengan RSS mengijinkan kita untuk berlangganan kepada situs web yang menyediakan umpan (feed) RSS, biasanya situs web yang isinya selalu diganti secara reguler. Untuk memanfaatkan teknologi ini kita membutuhkan layanan pengumpul. Pengumpul bisa dibayangkan sebagai kotak surat pribadi. Kita kemudian dapat mendaftar ke situs yang ingin kita tahu perubahannya. Namun, berbeda dengan langganan koran atau majalah, untuk berlangganan RSS tidak diperlukan biaya, gratis. Tapi, kita biasanya hanya mendapatkan satu baris atau sebuah pengantar dari isi situs berikut alamat terkait untuk membaca isi lengkap artikelnya.
