Kursi Sehat, Bersuara Ketika Salah Duduk

Masalah seringkali membuat manusia semakin kreatif berinovasi untuk mengatasi masalahnya tersebut. Seperti yang dilakukan oleh seorang ilmuwan Jerman bernama Risto Kolva. Ia berhasil membuat sebuah kursi ajaib yang bisa bersuara agar orang yang sedang duduk di atasnya dapat memperbaiki posisi duduknya yang salah.

‘Kursi Intelli’ ditemukan setelah Kolva mengadakan penelitan tentang sonifikasi. Sonifikasi adalah penggunaan suara berisik untuk menyampaikan informasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan Kolva bersama dengan mitranya dari Universitas Bielefeld, Jerman.

“Empat sensor di kursi bagian depan dan empat sensor di belakang kursi dapat mendeteksi bagaimana posisi orang yang duduk di kursi itu,” ujar Kolva.

Data kemudian dikirim ke komputer melalui bluetooth. Jika kursi tersebut mendeteksi orang yang posisi duduknya salah atau sudah duduk terlalu lama, kursi itu akan bersuara untuk memberitahukan agar orang yang duduk di atasnya mengubah posisinya.

Menurut ahli komputer Thomas Hermann, kursi intelli dibuat agar dapat digunakan di kantor maupun di rumah.

“Dapat juga digunakan di ruang sekolah untuk mengoptimalkan efektivitas kerja dengan menentukan apakah pekerja harus beristirahat,” ujar Hermann yang telah berusia 40 tahun tersebut.

Dengan kursi ini para workhaholic sepertinya dapat diingatkan untuk beristirahat dan tidak lupa waktu saat bekerja.

8 Gunung di Indonesia Ikut Bergejolak

Delapan gunung berapi di Indonesia berstatus ‘Waspada’. Warga diimbau untuk tidak mendekat ke arah kawah. Apakah delapan gunung berapi yang tersebar dari Sumatera hingga Pulau Jawa itu saling berkaitan?

“Gunung Bromo, Talang, Sinabung, dan lain-lain itu masing-masing sendiri. Tidak terkait,” kata Kepala Sub Bidang Pengamatan Gunung Api Pusat Vulkanologi Mitigasi Bencana dan Geologi Kementerian ESDM, Agus Budianto, kepada VIVAnews.com, Jumat 29 Oktober 2010.

Tetapi, masing-masing gunung itu bisa saling terkait satu sama lain karena dinamika bumi. Pergerakan atau pergeseran bumi yang terjadi setiap waktu dan tidak bisa diprediksi itu, bisa membuat peningkatan aktivitas gunung-gunung berapi itu secara bersamaan.

Bumi itu selalu bergeser mengalami pergerakan setiap waktunya. Pertemuan dan pergerakan dua lempeng yang kemudian saling melepas itu merupakan pusat gempa yang menaikkan aktivitas gunung berapi. “Konsekuensi pergerakan lempengan dan gempa tektonik bisa memicu sebaran gunung berapi,” ujar Agus.

Saat ini, ada delapan gunung di Indonesia yang berstatus ‘Waspada’. Warga diimbau untuk tidak mendekat apalagi menuju ke arah kawah. Karena biasanya, masih ada wisatawan yang ingin mendatangi lokasi gunung berapi, seperti Anak Krakatau di Lampung.

Sebelumnya, Agus menyebut ada delapan gunung berapi aktif yang kini berstatus ‘Waspada’. Delapan gunung itu yakni:
1. Gunung Sinabung, Karo, Sumatera Utara
2. Gunung Talang, Solok, Sumatera Barat
3. Gunung Anak Krakatau, Lampung
4. Gunung Papandayan, Garut, Jawa Barat
5. Gunung Slamet, Tegal, Jawa Tengah
6. Gunung Dieng, Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah
7. Gunung Semeru, Lumajang, Jawa Timur
8. Gunung Bromo, Probolinggo, Jawa Timur (hs)
